Genuinely excellent food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The two beers they have on tap are solid, but the cocktails aren't very good. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with any food they have.

Honestly a little gem in the wall. Waiting for a reservation stumbled upon the joint. Pineapple mojito was on special loved it. Handcrafted cocktail is always a remedy for a long days work. Cute decor friendly service. Didn’t get to the try the food but will next time. Cute place for friends or a casual first date.

Amazing meal, I had the guava short rib plate and it was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and the resturant is clean. I would definitely come back here.

We visited La Cubana for take out and the restaurant and food was great. The cafe con leche was an instant memory back to Cuba which was well needed in this freezing weather! It was a perfect blend of strong and sweet coffee. We ordered the Chicken Medianoche which was a little bland in my opinion but the Pressed Cubano which was like a panini was warm and full of flavour. Their spicy mustard was so delicious! Definitely a place to visit if you want to forget the horrible weather outside.

First time here and one of the few places I've been in that neighborhood. This place is small but serves delicious burgers and sandwiches.I splurged a bit - tried their Shortrib Medianoche burger, got 2 sides of Conch Fritters and Tostones, plus their Guava Fizz.The burger was awesome, it was juicy and meat was tender. The apps were pretty interesting. I liked the fritters the best, whereas the tostones taste is very organic.It's a great place to hang out and have a nice meal with good conversations. Definitely nothing fancy but atmosphere is good. Service is great and no one rushes you out either.

This place was so good that we decided to eat lunch here multiple times during our trip to Toronto. It wasn't very busy either time but our meals and the service were great. Our favorites are the yuca and plantains on the side and the pressed cubano and Cuban burger (made with chorizo I believe). Everything we had was absolutely delicious and at the price, we felt it is very hard to beat!

Very generous portions with good flavours! I loved everything about the dishes! Vegetables was well seasoned, short ribs was very soft and tender soaked with juicyness and their crunchy sweet sides from the deep fried bananas! A savoury dish which I recommend coming for! Price is reasonable totally loved it!

Really good place to eat! The food was amazing and the people who worked there were really nice. They even closed the restaurant for our entire group of people. Great view of Ossington and great indoor atmosphere.

Nice Cuban-themed diner. Portion size is nice and price range is affordable. Service staff is friendly, and helpful. Mind your step if sitting at the bar though; almost fell getting out of chair to use the washroom lol

After two visits, I have confirmed that I quite enjoy the food and atmosphere here. We arrived at noon on a Sunday just before they opened. The place was filled to capacity in minutes but the staff was able to keep up with all the orders and we had our lunch served Evan faster than expected. Both the pork and chicken were tender and flavour rich. A little of the home made hot sauce goes a long way and perfectly compliments the spices used on each course.

Stopped in here for lunch on a whim. I had heard good things and wanted to try it. The food here was great. We had the pork belly sandwich which was stellar. The fatty, soft pork is yummy and melts in your mouth. The bun it's served on is perfect and fluffy. The short rib plate was good as well. The meat is super tender and the coleslaw is a perfect match for it. Ask for some hot sauce. It's a good one. Also get the coffee con leche. It's so good. Strong, sweet and a little milky. Its so yummy.

What a gem this place is! Great location, this Cuban diner, featuring hand painted signs, and house made desserts, is a MUST! The Guava BBQ short rib plate is exactly the right size, and features rice and beans, a delicious red cabbage coleslaw, tostones, and a slab or perfectly melt-in-mouth short rib. All in all, comfort food at its best, topped off with one of the best key lime pies outside of Florida. You cannot go wrong with this cosy spot!

La Cubana has a nice atmosphere for having a meal and chatting with good company. The food is really quite tasty. Having plaintain with my food was definitely something unique. The beef ribs I had was really well cooked and delicious.The staff is friendly and the service was relatively quick. I'd recommend a try.

Came here on a Thursday evening after work. It was quite full but was able to get a seat at the bar. We ordered the Guava BBQ Beef Short Rib plate, pressed Cubano sandwich, and Conche Fritter. All were amazing. The service was a little bit slow but they seemed to be a bit understaffed. Will definitely be coming back.

GREAT food, everything we ordered was delicious. If you like Mojitos get the jug of it, you’ll want more than just one!

Very cool venue. Service was top notch, and they accommodated all out requests. We tried the pork belly and braised beef. Both were delicious. The slaw had a nice little kick to it and the plates were reasonably priced. Awesome place to visit.

Tasty food in a relaxing atmosphere. Portions are decently sized and priced fairly. If you find yourself near Queen and Ossington, definitely stop in!

Can’t recommend enough. Food was delicious and most importantly service was friendly and efficient. Lovely lady saw I had two little kids in tow and immediately catered to them with crayons and paper and a friendly smile. Will definitely be back

La Cubana has three locations, this one was on Ossington. The restaurant is known for its great Cuban food, but I didn't feel it was that much to write home about. The location is great, food is good but service was nothing exciting. Apparently they had old menus out? There were discrepancies between the menus and the bills which were not adjusted when brought to our servers attention.

Amazing. I had the Cubano media noche. Messy but delicious. Amazing sandwich. So flavorful, meat was great.

Yesterday I visited La Cubana and had the BEST sandwich of my life. I can’t even explain how amazing it was. My friends and I expected good things but we were shocked at just how good it was. I had the chicken sandwich and all I can say is that I have found the only sandwich spot I will ever go to from this day on. Also, the prices are really reasonable for a downtown restaurant! (The chicken sandwich was $10 and was super filling). The inside is a bit small (yet super cute) but we got lucky and went right before it got packed. If you have to wait, it’s worth it.

Love this place. The pork belly sandwich is legitimately the best sandwich I've had in my life, and I come back time and time again for it. The rotating selection of sides keeps things fresh, and their selection of cuban caffeines, and classic desserts are all on point. Fair prices to boot!

A little slice of Cuba smack dab in Toronto. Sandwiches are made traditionally, even the bread is homemade. Great selection of curated cocktails (I recommend The Hemingway) and two Cuban beers on tap. If you like messy sandwiches get a medianoche, if not get a classic Cubano. The vibe is bright and super chill. Staff are super attentive, even when it's busy. If I lived closer I'd be here everyday, once a week will have to suffice.
